The Best of Fire Island, In Kismet

Surf’s Out opened in Kismet just before the summer of 2009, giving Fire Island it’s most upscale – yet relaxed and comfortable – restaurant, bar and night club.

Already in its 9th year in Kismet, Surf’s Out is loaded with history both of the island and the restaurant business. Located on the site of what was The Out Restaurant since 1974, Surf’s Out continues the tradition of serving the full and part-time community of the island with freshly cooked meals and an exciting bar scene.

Surf’s Out features both indoor and outdoor seating for lunch and dinner, a beautiful bar and Fire Island’s best outdoor courtyard — perfect for live music, DJ’s and private parties.

Surf’s Out owners and management include long-time Fire Island residents (the year-round kind of guys!) and a family with over 25 years history in running successful Long Island restaurants.

We pride ourselves in delivering the best food in a welcoming atmosphere where you can enjoy being with your friends and family!
